Terms of Service

This agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between you (“User”) and Quiet Cats service operator Singularity Foundation LLC (“Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”), a Washington limited liability company. By using our services, you are agreeing to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. SERVICES

Singularity Foundation LLC operates Quiet Cats (the “Services”), a chat app that runs AI models (“cats”) inside your web browser, on your own device. What you type and what the cats reply is processed on your device and is not sent to us or to any AI company.

The cats are open-weight models published by third parties under their own licenses. Your browser downloads them directly from their hosts. Running them needs a browser with WebGPU and enough device memory, and larger models need more. We do not guarantee that any particular model will run on your device.

We may change or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, including the availability of certain models.

2. OBLIGATIONS

Use of the Services by minors is prohibited. You represent that you are an adult and at least the age of majority in the jurisdiction where you live.

You agree not to use our Services to:

Violate the rights of another party or any applicable laws;
Violate any of these Terms or our policies, or the licenses and usage policies of the models available through our Services;
Abuse, harm, interfere with, or disrupt our Services or servers, such as by accessing or using them in fraudulent or deceptive ways, introducing malware, spamming, hacking, or bypassing any protective measures;
Repeatedly create accounts or otherwise misuse the Services to obtain paid features without paying for them; or
Represent that AI-generated content is human-generated.

3. AI OUTPUT

The cats are small AI models. Their answers can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or inappropriate. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You are responsible for how you use what they produce.

4. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENT

Quiet Cats is free to use. The optional Chonk Club subscription (also called Quiet Cats Plus) costs $10 per month plus any applicable tax. It unlocks the largest model sizes, when your device can run them, and early access to new cats.

Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as our Merchant of Record and handles billing in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy. We do not have access to your payment details.

Subscriptions renew every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage subscription in the app, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

We may change the price of our Services at any time. Notice of the change will be posted on this website, and price changes do not affect a billing period you have already paid for.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

All material that you enter into our Services, and any results that you receive from the models (“Model-Generated Content”), will collectively be considered “Your Content.” You retain full ownership of Your Content.

6. DATA PROCESSING AND PRIVACY

We use third-party service providers, including Auth0 (for sign-in and account management) and Paddle (for payment processing and subscription management), which process personal data under their own privacy policies. These providers comply with GDPR and other relevant regulations through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other appropriate safeguards for data transfers outside the EU.

If you are signed in, chats are saved to your account unless you use ghost mode. Saved chats are encrypted in your browser before they are uploaded. You can delete them at any time in the app. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how it is protected. It forms part of these Terms of Service.

Users have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing by contacting support@singularity-foundation.com. Users in the EU may file complaints with their local Data Protection Authority if they believe their data rights have been violated.

7. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service, or your relationship with Singularity Foundation under these Terms of Service, shall be resolved by binding arbitration. This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

8. LIABILITY

The Services are provided “as is”. Singularity Foundation LLC is not liable for any damages, loss, or problems that arise out of or are related to the use of its Services.

9. MODIFICATION

We may modify these Terms of Service. If changes affect data processing or user rights, we will provide prior notice. Continued use of our Services after such notice constitutes acceptance of the changes.

10. TERMINATION

We may terminate your use of the Services at any time and for any reason, including for a violation of these Terms of Service, upon providing notice to you. You may terminate your use of the Services at any time by ceasing to use our Services.

Upon termination, all rights and obligations will be extinguished other than such rights and obligations which by their nature should survive, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution provisions.
